Academy Courtesy

* Students and instructors will bow to the flags each time they enter or leave the classroom area to demonstrate respect to the instructors and fellow students.

* If students are late for class, they should ask permission to enter class. Stand where you would enter the floor with your hand raised until the senior instructor addresses you. Then say, “Permission to enter class, Sir.”

* Students will respond "Yes/No, Sir or Ma'am" in conversation with instructors, stand respectfully and address them by their last name and proper title Master, Mr., Mrs. Ms., etc.

* Students will turn away from the flag when adjusting uniform or belt.

* A student’s personal appearance in class is a reflection of his pride. Please come to class with a clean uniform and a clean body.

* Female students must wear a white T-shirt under their uniform. Male students may wear a white T-shirt under the uniform.

* Long hair pulled back.

* No gum or candy is allowed in class.

* All belts should be tied to hang evenly, as one side represents the mind and the other side represents the body.

* All high ranking visitors should be greeted with appropriate respect; if class is in session, all members should immediately stop and bow.

Good Deed Sheets

Four Good Deed Sheets (32 good deeds) are required to be turned in during a testing cycle. These sheets are designed to encourage young taekwondo students to be responsible and considerate. Parents please sign sheets before they are turned in. Click here to download Good Deed Sheet pdf

Uniform Care

Wash in cold water.   Lightweight uniforms can be dried on medium heat in the dryer.  Heavyweight uniforms will shrink in the dryer and should hang dry (allow 24 hours to completely dry).  Do NOT wash your belt!!  Never use chlorine bleach on your uniform the patches will fade, color safe bleach works best.

Sparring gear

Please put your name or initials on the inside of your sparring gear.
Clean your sparring gear with a washcloth and warm soapy water.
